    Position: Operations Assistant (Banquet Management) Salary: $20.41/hour

    MWR Academy Officer's Club

    DUTIES:

    Assists the Event Coordinator and Business Manager in the efficient operation of the Officers'/All-Hands Club during their absence. Responsible for supervising and directing the club's staff (wait-staff and bartenders) during these functions. Must ensure friendly, courteous, and efficient service is performed at all times. Maintains order and enforces all Officers'/All-Hands Club policies.

    Assist with issuing, receiving, and controlling cash receipts and change funds. Collect funds due at the end of each function and prepare appropriate paperwork. Assist in setting up all function room arrangements in accordance with the patron's floor plan. Responsible for custody, safekeeping, and preservation of all club property, including inventory, merchandise, and equipment.

    Responsible for monthly inventory of all alcoholic beverages at the Officers'/All-Hand Club and Alumni Center. Assist the Executive Chef with invoice processing and forwarding to CGA MWR account technician. Assist with the duties pertaining to the review of all employee timecard reports and makes necessary changes as needed; Stand duty as Cashier Attendant as required during absence of primary attendant.

    QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

    Minimum:

    1. Knowledge of best practices in catering operations

    2. Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

    3. Capacity to lead by example, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork and cooperation among team members.

    4. Aptitude for problem-solving and decision-making, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances during events.

    Preferred: (In addition to the minimum qualifications)

    1. Associates from an accredited university with emphasis in retail or hospitality management with at least two years of specialized experience. General business experience may be substituted for a degree on a year-for-year basis.

    2. At least one year's experience of catering and or managing waitstaff.

    OTHER ESSENTIAL INFORMATION:

    Selectee will be required to participate in Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer as the Standard method of payment for payroll and travel purposes.

    Males born after 12/31/59 and at least 18 years of age must be registered with the Selective Service System, unless covered by an exemption under the Selective Service Law, in accordance with 5 U.S. Code 3378. Selectee will be required to provide a written statement regarding his registration status unless he is exempted by this statute.

    Must satisfactorily complete a Federal Background check.
