    Lead Developer Position at Federal Project - Join Our Team!

    About the Job and Company: We are seeking a Lead Developer with solid federal background, especially in CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services), to be part of our team for a crucial project within CMS's Center for Program Integrity (CPI). This role calls for a tech-savvy leader who can utilize the designated tech stack to create and innovate web applications and microservices in a virtual environment, with a preference for candidates located in the DMV area.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the creation, deployment, and management of robust web applications and microservices.
    • Supervise the merging of different system elements employing Angular for front-end, Java Spring, Spring Boot for app logic, and Camunda for process management.
    • Ensure effective data handling and retrieval utilizing ElasticSearch and PostgreSQL.
    • Control ETL procedures with Apache NiFi and ensure a smooth data process.
    • Oversee and enhance infrastructure on AWS, including containerization with Kubernetes and Nginx for web server settings.
    • Guide the development team in embracing top-notch standards for code effectiveness, security, and performance.
    • Work closely with diverse teams to provide top-quality, scalable answers.
    • Offer tech advice and coaching to junior developers.

    Required Skills and Qualifications:

    Educational Background:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields.
    • Technical Proficiency:
    • Front-end: Angular, JavaScript
    • Application: Spring Boot, Microservices, Camunda
    • ETL: Apache NiFi
    • Database: PostgreSQL
    • Environment/Infrastructure: AWS, Kubernetes, Nginx
    • Languages: Java, JavaScript
    • Reporting: Cognos, Business Objects
    • Search Technologies: ElasticSearch

    Work Experience:

    • At least 10 years of software development experience focusing on the mentioned tech stack.
    • Extensive experience in leading dev groups and handling intricate projects in the federal domain, especially with CMS or similar health entities.
    • In-depth knowledge of process management and microservices architecture.
    • Strong background in AWS cloud facilities and container administration via Kubernetes.
    • Competence in database layout and optimization, particularly with PostgreSQL.
    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps procedures.

    Soft Skills:

    • Impressive problem-solving capabilities and the talent for creative and critical thinking.
    • Effective communication and collaboration skills crucial for remote teamwork.
    • Leadership traits with a history of mentoring and guiding dev teams.
    • Capability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic setting with shifting priorities.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Holding certifications in pertinent technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator).
    • Knowledge of healthcare data standards and regulations.
