- Plan, budget, and schedule facilities modifications including cost estimates, bid sheets, layouts, and contracts for construction and acquisitions.
- Conduct feasibility studies for new products and expansion to existing product lines.
- Inspect construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established specifications.
- Oversee the coordination of building space allocation, layout, and communication services.
- Oversee and direct maintenance personnel and contractors engaged in installation and moving furniture and equipment.
- Engineering and procurement of ergonomic assembly fixtures.
- Develop plant manning and operation standards.
- Control of all engineering, facility, and maintenance expenses.
- Project management including automation cell design/function, quoting, vendor interaction and capital budgets.
- Ability to understand and implement the use of machine vision for inspection and robot guidance.
- Ability to implement and maintain industrial robotics including electrical, mechanical components, program setup and system troubleshooting.
- Follow ISO14001 and IATF16949 procedures/processes.
- Participate in plant recycling programs.
- Contribute to the achievement of quality/management objectives by optimizing design (of layout, machines, etc.) to produce quality product.
- Manages Industrial/Mechanical Engineer, and Maintenance Technicians and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
- Bachelors degree (BS/BA); five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- PLC ladder logic preferred (Control Logix, Micro Logix, Compact Logix & SLC500 Rockwell Software).
- AutoCAD
- Experience with automation equipment (i.e., Industrial Robots, Automated Guided Vehicles & Vision Systems).
- Experience with plant floor operations, including line/cell installations/rearrangements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
