    About Cataldo
    Since 1977, Cataldo Ambulance Service, Inc. has continually distinguished ourselves as a leader in providing routine and emergency medical services.

    As the needs of the community and the patient change, we continue to introduce innovative programs to ensure the highest level of care is available to everyone in the areas we serve.

    Cataldo is the largest private EMS provider and private ambulance service in Massachusetts.

    In addition to topping 50,000 emergency medical transportations annually through 911 contacts with multiple cities, we partner with some of Massachusetts top medical facilities to provide non-emergency medical ambulance and wheelchair transportation services.

    We are also an EMS provider to specialty venues like Fenway Park, Warrior Arena, and TD Garden.

    While Cataldo began as an ambulance service company, we continue to grow through innovation and expand the services we offer to the local communities.

    As a public health resource, Cataldo offers training and education to the healthcare and emergency medical community through the Cataldo Education Center.

    This includes certification training for new employees as well as the training needed for career advancement.

    Through our partnerships with health systems, hospitals, managed care organizations, and others, we continue to provide in-home care through the state's first and largest Mobile Integrated Health program, SmartCare.

    We also have delivered more than 1.7 million Covid-19 vaccines and continue to operate testing and vaccination sites throughout the state of Massachusetts.

    Job Summary

    Requirements:
    1+ years of relevant experience in a fast-paced environment
    Preferred Experience in Billing systems such as RescueNet Dispatch Billing and Zirmed/Waystar
    Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
    Strong interpersonal skills
    Excellent organization skills; attention to detail and follow through a MUST
    Resolve issues quickly and efficiently
    Able to multitask, take charge and ownership of tasks
    Ability to work independently and in a team setting
    Handle highly confidential information with complete discretion
    Possess a positive, professional demeanor at all times
    Exceptional computer skills with, but not limited to Microsoft Office, Phone, Fax, internet
    Ability to work in a Fast paced, high demand environment


    Responsibilities:
    General office duties such as filing, faxing, scanning, copying, web search etc.
    Answer incoming calls on busy multi-lined switchboard and route to proper person/department
    Note and deliver all messages to proper person
    Open/close reception area, ensure it is properly staffed and phones are live during normal operating hours (Monday thru Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm)
    Ensure reception area is kept clean and tidy at all times
    Process daily mail, including deliveries, and ensure delivery to proper recipient
    Greet, assist and direct customers appropriately in a professional manner
    Print and process claims, bills and other forms on a daily basis
    Process specialized contracts on a monthly and bi-weekly basis according to contract specifications
    Process and transmit EDI batches daily according to standards
    Follow up on EDI batches daily to ensure batches have been accepted and rejected batches/claims are reprocessed same day
    Monitor funds on postage machine
    Monitor and manage all office inventory, including all paper, envelopes and forms
    Process Medical Record Requests
    Assist with and complete additional projects as needed or necessary
