OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY
Performs receiving functions as required by the Procurement Group, including processing and reconciling packing slips, forwarding goods delivered to loading dock, and entering related data into the companies financial system in preparation for invoice payment.
Follows corrective action plan for addressing problems with purchases and deliveries and ensures resolution of issues prior to completion of final financial transaction.
Responsible for monitoring and stocking the supply and reagent inventories to support the Institute's laboratories. Ensures timely delivery of delivered equipment and supplies. Responsible for accurate, timely transactions in the SAP MRP system including, inventory receipts, inventory adjustments, and cycle counting. May perform glass wash, sterilization, plate labeling, and other duties as needed. Required to drive a 20-foot delivery truck between Institute locations. Some heavy lifting required. Must be able to perform well working independently and as part of a group.CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES
- Processes purchase order receipts in SAP financial system.
- Will perform timely and accurate inventory transactions in SAP.
- Verifies accuracy of delivered goods by comparing packing slip documents with the contents of each delivered package in order to ensure the integrity of threeway match with invoices and purchase orders.
- Organizes delivered inventory. Notifies departments of delivered goods, securing signature approval for materials and equipment; assures that items are accepted by departments in a timely manner, schedules pickup as necessary, and assures appropriate storage in the interim.
- As appropriate, assists in unpacking of items and disposing of shipping materials. Prepares items for vendor installation and/or Facilities Group assembly.
- Applies asset tags to incoming equipment as directed.
- Communicates with Supply Chain & Logistics Coordinator if issues develop that compromise the availability of materials.
- Responsible for monitoring and replenishing of mínimart supplies; will follow up with appropriate departments to ensure timely delivery of required items.
- Conduct recurring physical inventory of stockrooms and lab storage to ensure accurate reporting and ordering.
- Notify Coordinator and team leaders when new items are requested or available.
- Performs interbuilding equipment moves as directed by Supply Chain & Logistics Coordinator.
- Required to be available for glass wash, equipment sterilization, plate labeling, and other duties as is necessary.
- Must be capable of driving a 20foot delivery truck between Institute locations.
- Performs other related responsibilities as necessary as assigned by the Supply Chain & Logistics Coordinator.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year demonstrated experience in inventory management with computerized inventory control.
- Experience working with computerized inventory control, and stocking is required.
- Must be detail oriented, dependable, and have the ability to exercise good judgment.
- Some experience with biological and chemical products preferred.
- Effective written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Works well in a fast paced environment
- Must work well independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to organize work, multitask under pressure, and resolve problems.
- Must be able to lift heavy items (minimum 40 lbs.) and perform a variety of physically intensive tasks; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities.
- Must have valid drivers license and be able to drive a 20foot delivery truck.
- Must have 1+years direct customer service experience
