    This is a full-time, direct placement

    Position Summary

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our finance team. The Controller will play a critical role in assisting with the company's financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial analysis, and enjoy working in a team environment. The company is scaling at a rapid rate and will be the CEO's key player in managing the accounting staff / functions. Opportunity to grow into the Controller role as you develop the accounting team and company scales.

    Essential Duties

    • Well versed with Job Costing, WIP schedules and job analytics.
    • Review transactions to ensure that the proper documentation is in place to support month-end close process.
    • Prepare Balance Sheet Reconciliations for CEO review.
    • Prepare monthly financial statements for various reporting entities.
    • Assist with Budgets, Forecasts, Cash flow projects on numerous jobs.
    • Strong reconciliation skills for multiple bank and credit cards statements.
    • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
    • Manage the AP, AR and Accounting Manger Personnel.
    • Sales and Use Tax reporting, including assisting with Audits.
    • Assist in special projects and initiatives as directed by CEO.
    • Other duties as assigned by management.
    Requirements

    Required Skills & Qualifications:

    Must have a strong proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and Sage 300 Construction. High level of integrity while managing sensitive information.

    Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

    Experience & Qualifications:
    • Minimum 5 years experience
