    Description

    Job Title: Information Technology Specialist

    Looking for a tech-savvy individual to join our team and work as an Information Technology Specialist within the Chief Technology Office, Business Application Services, Economic Development, Housing Government portfolio.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • A bachelor's or higher-level degree, 15 semester credit hours in computer science.
    • Or a bachelor's degree in any field with one year of experience in IT.
    • Or 60 semester credit hours with 15 in computer science and one year of professional IT experience.
    • Or two years of professional experience in IT.
    Transfer:
    Open to NYS employees with one year of permanent competitive service in relevant IT roles.

    55b/c Appointment:
    This position is eligible for 55b/c designation.

    NYS HELPS:
    Part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS).

    Duties Description:
    • Functioning as part of a team responsible for supporting and developing a budget management application.
    • Developing EPM Business Rules, ETL scripts, and database queries.
    • Designing, customizing, and maintaining Oracle EPM solutions.
    • Collaborating with senior developers and analysts.
    • Documenting all solutions within the unit.
