Description
Amentum is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, entry-level Financial Analyst, with excellent communication skills, to support the B40 Radar Operations. This position will be located on-site in Dahlgren, VA.
The Financial Analyst will assist in the development and management of financial summaries, reports, and data call responses to project Sponsors, project Leads, and the Department.
**Entry Level Financial Analyst Responsibilities Include:**
+ Assist in the documentation and maintenance of project financial and budgetary items and processing of administrative related actions.
+ Document and track expenditures and expenditure rates.
+ Investigate, document, and respond to requests for the review of unliquidated obligations.
+ Assist in the creation and upkeep of accounting actions, status tracking, and data collection in EDW, ERP, and IBPES.
+ Analyzing current and past financial data and performance.
+ Preparing reports and projections based on this analysis.
+ Being able to Identify trends in financial performance and providing recommendations for improvement.
+ Being able to identify financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
+ Demonstrated ability to reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data
+ Demonstrated experience using advanced Microsoft Excel functions to produce graphs, charts, and pivot tables.

**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ A Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university (preferably in Business or Finance); or Five (5) years demonstrated experience analyzing program budgets
+ Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance (at a minimum, must receive/be approved for an interim Secret security clearance in order to start) Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
+ Experience with Navy ERP System
**Preferred:**
+ Working knowledge of IBPES
+ Knowledge of government financial types/systems
