    Location: REMOTE

    My client is a leading renewable energy IPP specializing in utility-scale solar projects. With a commitment to sustainability and innovation, they are dedicated to advancing the transition to clean energy and creating a brighter future for generations to come. They specialize in greenfield development and late stage M&A of large scale solar projects.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead the initial design and engineering of utility-scale solar PV systems, site layouts, energy modeling and optimization, permitting applications
    • Conduct site evaluations and feasibility studies to assess electrical infrastructure requirements, grid interconnection options, and system performance.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, regulations, and permitting requirements, such as NEC, IEEE, NESC, and local utility interconnection guidelines.
    • Oversee the construction, commissioning, and testing of solar PV systems, and provide technical support to resolve any electrical issues or challenges.
    • Coordinate with utility companies, regulatory agencies, and third-party consultants to obtain necessary permits, approvals, and grid interconnection agreements.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
    • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in solar PV project development and electrical engineering, with a focus on utility-scale projects.
    • Proficiency in solar PV design software, such as PVsyst, Helioscope, or equivalent tools.
    • Strong understanding of solar PV system components, performance modeling, and electrical design principles.
