    Description

    Travel Advisor: Discovering the World- One Member at a Time

    A career as a Travel Agent calls for a deep passion for travel and an appreciation for the opportunities it offers to connect history, cultures, and cuisine. Successful Travel Agents possess a strong sales drive, impeccable organizational skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, proficiency in computer navigation, and effective written and oral communication skills. They must also have a thirst for continuous learning.

    Responsibilities of a AAA Travel Agent:

    • Sell international and domestic travel packages including cruises, land packages, travel itineraries, air, car, and hotel.
    • Share knowledge and expertise from personal experiences or educational study trips.
    • Develop long-standing relationships with members, encourage referrals and repeat business.
    • Make tailored recommendations to ensure exceptional trip experiences and offer relevant products like AAA Member Rewards Credit Card and identity theft referrals.

    This role can lead to future leadership opportunities based on evaluated proficiencies in sales, customer service, administration, operations, and meeting goals. Successful completion of evaluations may pave the way for growth into managerial positions.

    Required / Preferred Skills:

    • A high school diploma is required, a college degree is preferred.
    • Passing a criminal background check and drug screening is mandatory.
    • Preferably 2 years of retail sales or banking experience in a goal-oriented environment.

    • You are willing to work Saturdays and occasional evenings to achieve goals.
    • Completion of the Travel Agent Trainee program with travel required for training.
    • You thrive on sales and surpassing your set targets.
    • Proficiency in computers, including navigating systems and software such as Microsoft Office, with a typing speed of at least 30WPM.
    • You excel in organization and paperwork management.
