    Job Description

    Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Site Superintendent to join an amazing public works construction team.

    The Site Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing field operations on assigned projects to ensure timely and profitable completion.

    The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, along with a commitment to safety and client satisfaction.


    Responsibilities:

    • Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of field labor force, including Foremen.
    • Inspect Contractor or (Sub)Contract operations to ensure compliance with the contract.
    • Review and approve Payment Applications in coordination with the Project Manager.
    • Maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients, including Owner and Architect/Engineer representatives.
    • Develop and maintain site logistics plan in coordination with the Project Manager.
    • Conduct quality inspections and coordinate site testing and inspection efforts.
    • Monitor costs, including labor time and materials.
    • Communicate and enforce Safety and Health Management Program and Fleet Program.
    • Actively promote an Injury-Free Environment through personal actions and mentoring others.
    • Manage schedules, including preparation of detailed short-term schedules and ensuring activities are on or ahead of scheduled dates.
    • Prepare and submit Superintendent's Daily Reports.
    • Attend and participate in project meetings, including subcontractor meetings from Pre-Construction to Project Closeout.
    • Serve as the acting Safety Officer and promote a culture of safety within the company.

    Requirements:

    • Proficiency in computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office products.
    • Familiarity with KCI Internal software and Field Management Systems preferred.
    • Broad understanding of the construction industry to oversee multiple trades.
    • Knowledge of drawings, specifications, and project contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Good math and accounting skills.
    • Effective management skills, including delegation and decision-making.
    • Ability to read drawings and specifications effectively.
    • Works effectively as part of a team and demonstrates strong leadership qualities.
    • Always maintains discretion and confidentiality.
    • OSHA certification preferred.
    • First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
    • Junior College or Vocational education desired.
    • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience.
