    The Counsel role is crucial within the Regulatory, Operations, Government Affairs, and Environmental team. You will work closely with the Deputy Chief Counsel and Principal Counsel on various legal matters related to Disney Signature Experiences, particularly Disney Cruise Line, and Walt Disney World Resort. This position is based in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.

    Responsibilities:

    • Stay updated on federal, state, local, and maritime laws and industry standards to advise on legal matters affecting the business.
    • Assist in drafting contracts, legal memos, and documents.
    • Review policies to address potential legal implications.
    • Suggest strategies to mitigate legal risks.
    • Fulfill other assigned duties by the Deputy Chief Counsel and Principal Counsel.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Minimum of two (2) years of legal experience, preferably in a large law firm.
    • Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
    • Ability to analyze complex legal issues.
    • Self-motivated and excels in a fast-paced environment.
    • Demonstrates exceptional judgment and work ethic.
    • Team player with great interpersonal and collaboration skills.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Federal clerkship experience.
    • Background in contract negotiation and drafting.
    • Familiarity with maritime law.
    • Knowledge of OSHA, ADA, ABT, and environmental regulations.

    Required Education:

    • JD or equivalent from an accredited law school.
    • Active membership in the Florida State Bar or qualification to be Registered In-House Counsel.
