    Channel Business Manager - San Francisco, United States - Semtech

    Job Summary:

    The Channel Business Manager reports to the Director of Channel sales and is responsible for delivering revenue growth with CDW. The successful candidate will coordinate, implement and manage all sales activities with CDW field, technical and inside sales teams in order to achieve the desired revenue and business goals with CDW. This person will be the primary interface for field engagement activities between CDW and Semtech field, inside and technical sales teams in an effort to expand the business relationship between the companies.

    Responsibilities:
    • Contributes and executes on tactical/strategic initiatives outlined in the DMR business plan to achieve quarterly and annual sales objectives
    • Exceed revenue and business goals/objectives as set down by the channel sales director.
    • Develop and manage inside sales team relationships with Partner accounts.
    • Foster and develop manager and executive relationships with DMR accounts
    • Develop and maintain an accurate quarterly/annual forecast for our DMR partners by team/vertical market
    • Initiate DMR sales reps/Semtech field engagements and planning sessions to drive attainment of revenue objectives
    • Develop and teach operational "best practices" to our DMR partners teams
    • Develops training program that drive both proficiency and revenue growth
    • With the Channel Sales Director, coordinate and manage business reviews with DMR (4x per year)
    • Drive revenue growth with identified "end users"
    • Implement a sales and marketing events calendar to generate new end user opportunities
    • Assist in closure of "key" end-user opportunities with respective partner sales team
    • Coordinate resources required to close prospective "enterprise" opportunities
    • Identify and report on competitive trends (products, promotions etc.)
    • Escalate and resolve any account issues when appropriate
    Minimum Qualifications:
    • 3+ years of sales experience, preferably within the high-tech industry
    • Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience
    • Consistent and proven attainment of revenue and quota assignments
    • Strong experience in consultative and applications sales of Internet products and services
    • Superior written and verbal communications skills
    • Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
    • Results-focused, team-oriented, and a strong work ethic
    • Sales experience in the areas of internet technologies, software/hardware technologies and videoconferencing is preferred
    • Ability to travel 50%+ or as required to meet and exceed objectives
