    About the Role and Company:

    This full-time hybrid position at our New York City office, running Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, offers an annual salary range of $70,000 - $75,000.

    Who we are seeking:
    As the Associate Designer, you will collaborate closely with the V.P. of Design to explore, design, create, and showcase products for Boys & Girls (under private label & licensed brands), aligning with market insights and customer expectations. Engage with complementary Design/Merchandising/PD teams for development utilizing our vertical supply chain and global sourcing capabilities.
    Desired Qualifications:

    • Hold a Bachelor of Arts degree, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or related field.
    • Bring 2-4 years of relevant experience to the table.
    • Possess expertise in apparel design, fabrics, and product development.
    • Have hands-on experience with artwork and graphics.
    • Demonstrate excellent skills in Illustrator, proficiency in Photoshop, and knowledge of patternmaking and technical design.
    • Exhibit familiarity with screen printing, techniques, sublimation, textiles, 3D design, and PLM systems (a plus).
    • Experience in creating graphics is advantageous.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Research industry trends, conduct market analysis, and adeptly apply trends to meet customer requirements, remaining up-to-date with current and emerging trends.
    • Collaborate with the V.P. to craft trend presentations seasonally by category, showcasing proto samples, fabric choices, and market silhouette representation—ensuring thoroughness and accuracy. Interact with sales/merchandising and PD teams to align on strategy and objectives.
    • Illustrate and prepare technical one-pagers for development, collaborating with the Tech team for comprehensive tech pack requirements. Maintain internal technical pages and external linesheets throughout the season.
    • Oversee sample development with cross-functional teams, ensuring timely and as per expectations completion. Collaborate with varied teams to troubleshoot challenges for timeliness and cost efficiency.
    • Develop and finalize artwork for production- Adjust and recolor artwork, draft pitches for production, and render in 2D and 3D. Partner with the Senior Graphics Manager and technical design.
    • Engage with Merchandising to communicate with external clients in product development. Take charge of design-related follow-ups and communicate needs to cross-functional teams.
    • Support the technical team with 3D renderings; use 3D designs for presentations, CADs, and client requirements.
    • Ensure team adherence to calendar deadlines, proactively problem-solving to meet deadlines. Ensure teams are aware of timelines, track progress, and provide solutions to meet deadlines.
    • Collaborate with peers to foster synergies in the Design Department.
    • Review and oversee sample purchases for each season within owned categories.
    • Explore new printing techniques based on market insights, collaborating with the product development team.
    • Drive enhancements in product development processes to enable more efficient and cost-effective programs.
