    Job Summary:

    As the head honcho of the health care squad, you'll be delivering top-notch nursing care following established standards of care. Be ready to adapt to changes, show top-notch performance, treat everyone with respect, and be part of making magic happen at the Medical Center.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    The Registered Nurse rocks at:

    • Following Kaiser Permanente's Rules, being a team leader, delegating tasks like a pro, and being accountable.
    • Understanding practice scopes, being professional, and supporting others.
    • Being a champion of new ideas and leading the team through changes.
    • Using effective communication strategies and solving problems like a boss.
    • Ensuring patient care activities are completed and meeting standards like a pro.
    • Collaborating with other departments to solve issues and assist with patient care.
    • Prioritizing, delegating, and supervising work assignments to ensure patient care activities are squared away.
    • Documenting accurately and utilizing computer systems effectively.

    The RN also excels at the Nursing Process by:

    • Developing a personalized care plan reflecting assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating outcomes.
    • Ensuring the plan includes multidisciplinary planning, consultations, education, and is tailored to the patient's needs.
    • Revising the plan based on patient condition and progress.
    • Ensuring patient safety and optimal comfort.
    • Providing clear medication instructions and ensuring patient comprehension.

    Additionally, the RN demonstrates clinical competencies, contributes to workplace safety, ensures a top-notch patient care experience, shows team commitment, and exercises fiscal responsibility.

    Basic Qualifications:
    Experience
    • Minimum six (6) months of experience required in an acute or sub-acute facility within the last three (3) years.
    Education
    • N/A
    License, Certification, Registration
    • California Registered Nurse License

    • Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association

    If you opt for the twelve-hour shift, get ready for a work schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Primary location in California, Los Angeles, at West Los Angeles Medical Center.
