    A VP Category Management is responsible for leading Andrews' category management design, development and integration across our shopper-first planning process. You will actively work to scale our category management efforts across the enterprise to include On and Off Premise Chain and Independent retail customers. You will partner internally with other planning teams to support a customized assortment solution, optimizing our retail customers business. This role is part of the Customer Growth Strategy team.

    Leads the design, development and delivery of Andrews' Category Management planning strategy across all retail customers.

    • Leads the execution of the Category Management development consistent with brand guidelines, portfolio objectives, and customer segmentation and prioritization.
    • Develops long-term partnership with retailers and serves as category captains/advisors.
    • Maintains tracking and reporting of Company and customer assortments to monitor progress against goals; manages the customer category review process.
    • Understands and drives our Shopper First planning focus and the integration of category management across all of our planning teams.
    • Effectively communicates Category Management guiding principles that enables Andrews to scale and implement portfolio strategy.
    • Represents Andrews Category Management in external relations with brewing partners and retail customers.
    • Designs Category Management team structure to align with and enable Shopper First planning integration with all planning teams.
    • Builds effective teams that apply their category management skills and knowledge to achieve common goals within our assortment optimization goals.
    • Balances stakeholders needs within building individual brands in support of a portfolio strategy.
    • Makes presentations to Leadership to ensure alignment and understanding cross functionally.
    • Stays abreast of industry trends and looks for innovative opportunities to bring into current processes.

    Drives Category Management integration across all business units to ensure alignment with Company strategies and a consistent Shopper First approach.

    • Fosters and grows internal relationships across all planning teams to deliver strategic execution.
    • Strategically partners with Brand Management team and Analytics Center of Excellence (ACOE) team, driving insights to action through deep analytics of the category, macro-trends, competitive landscape, pricing, promotion, assortment, space management, and shopper trends.
    • Leads the Category Management team in translating brand strategies into category and customer specific plans working collaboratively with marketing teams, insight teams, and sales teams.
    • Partners with Sales teams to engage external retailer buying team in defined territories with goal of identifying opportunities to grow the beer and spirits category.
    • Creates process across Category Management team resources that provides tools for independent Category Management execution in market.

    Leads team member development, coaching and training.

    • Manages a team of category managers and ensures career development for each team member.
    • Establishes clear and transparent expectations on all team roles, responsibilities, accountability, priorities and expectations.
    • Ensures compliance in all company programs and practices.
    • Evaluates current capabilities, identify gaps, and prioritize development activities.
    • Identifies the capabilities needed to meet the current and emerging business needs.

    Here's what you must have to be considered for this role...

    • 8 Plus Years of Progressively Responsible Experience in Sales Management, Brand Management, and/or Category Management
    • Proven Leadership and Team Building Skills; Ability to Successful Build, Develop and Manage a New Team; Five Plus Years Supervisory Experience
    • Strong Relationship Building, Influencing and Cross-Departmental Collaboration Skills at all Organizational Levels
    • Advanced Technology and Data Analysis Skills; Ability to Use a Variety of Analysis Tools and Learn New Systems and Processes Quickly; Advanced MS Office (Excel – Pivot Tables, Matching Multiple Data Sets)
    • Advanced Communication and Presentation Skills; Advanced MS Office/PowerPoint Skills
    • Strong Financial and Business Acumen
