    Autodesk is seeking an enthusiastic product attorney who enjoys partnering with business colleagues to understand their objectives, ensure product readiness, and help solve problems for our customers.

    You will focus on creating a culture of learning and continuous improvement. You have experience distilling complex legal issues into actionable advice. If you join our team, you'll be immersed in innovation and surrounded by inspiring and engaging people.

    You will provide a broad range of legal support to product and platform teams serving the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry and partner with the business to enable Autodesk's platform vision.

    You will also help support M&A and integration projects.
    You will report to the Senior Director, Corporate Legal. This position will be hybrid and based in Boston or Denver.
    ResponsibilitiesParticipate as a business partner to leaders and teams serving the AEC industry and build a trusted advisor relationship.

    Engage with team members at all levels, including product management, software engineers, marketing and business strategyDraft, review and negotiate a variety of agreements critical to our product teams, including those relating to cloud service offerings, inbound technology licensing, analytics and other vendor services, developer programs, open-source projects, and technology and strategic partnershipsSupport product readiness and release by identifying and driving resolution of issues related to intellectual property, privacy, data security, confidentiality, machine learning/AI, marketing, competition, regionalization, and other legal and regulatory issuesLearn and advise on the legal implications of new technologies and business modelsSupport M&A activities for specified product areas, including due diligence reviews, advising on transaction structure, execution, and integration matters, with a focus on intellectual property and go-to-market issuesMinimum QualificationsYou have a JD (Juris Doctorate) degree from an ABA accredited university and are in good standing as a member of the BarYou have 5 or more years of experience providing legal support to software and cloud service businesses, either at a law firm or corporate legal departmentYou have experience and interest in intellectual property, privacy and technology transactionsYou are a proficient negotiatorYou are a collaborative team player who excels at finding solutions in a fast-paced work environmentIdeal CandidateYou are curious, tech savvy, and practical, and possess an engineering backgroundYou're a great communicator, or, if not, you really want to be greatYou keep in mind the big picture while adeptly identifying risks and pitfallsLearn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk Amazing things are created every day with our software – from the greenest buildings and cleanest cars to the smartest factories and biggest hit movies.

    Learn more about our benefits in the U.S. by visiting Salary transparencySalary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $147,500 and $238,590. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.

    In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
