    The main role of the Sous Chef is to oversee a specific department in collaboration with the Chef de Cuisine/Executive Chef to establish and maintain quality standards. At times, the Sous Chef may need to manage the entire operation in the absence of the Chef de Cuisine or Executive Chef. The ideal Sous Chef ensures a positive guest experience by supervising the culinary department's daily functions and offering support and guidance to the culinary team.

    What you'll be doing in this role...
    • Assist in managing all aspects of culinary operations, including menu planning and food preparation
    • Supervise kitchen operations to uphold high quality and presentation standards
    • Collaborate on menu creation to cater to diverse guests
    • Control food costs and inventory efficiently
    • Train and motivate kitchen staff to maintain top-notch food preparation
    • Maintain a safe and clean kitchen environment
    • Ensure a seamless guest experience by working with other departments
    • Stay updated on industry trends to enhance culinary offerings
    • Manage work schedules and ensure ingredient quality
    • Organize and maintain cleanliness in the work environment
    • Contribute to menu changes and development
    • Ensure consistent food preparation and service standards
    • Prioritize and complete daily responsibilities on time
    • Communicate effectively with team members to meet standards
    • Maintain clean equipment in good working condition
    • Participate in employee meetings and ideation sessions
