The Monmouth County Division on Aging, Disabilities & Veterans Services is seeking a part time Accounting Assistant to prepare financial reports, audits, and maintain accounting system.

Responsibilities:

•Provide routine accounting work involved in preparing financial records and reports.

•Make routine inspections of varied financial transactions and records to ensure concerned regulations and accounting procedures are observed.

•Compile financial statements and reports and enter information into databases.

•Provide assistance to Senior Accountant in tasks related to this position.

Requirements:

•Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.

•Minimum of 2 years' experience.

•Knowledge of the work involved in the general field of accounting.

•Ability to learn principles and procedures used in accounting.

•Excellent organizational skills, ability to create accurate reports and submit in a timely manner.

•Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

•Ability to utilize various computer programs.

•Strong communication skills.

•Valid NJ driver's license required.
