    Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Capture Manager specializing in federal civilian agencies and the Department of Defense to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully identifying, pursuing, and capturing new business opportunities within these sectors. They will possess in-depth knowledge of the federal procurement process, understand the unique requirements of federal civilian agencies and the DoD, and have a strong network of contacts within these organizations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Capture Strategy Development: Lead the development of capture strategies for targeted opportunities within federal civilian agencies and the Department of Defense. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define win themes, competitive differentiators, and key discriminators.
    2. Opportunity Identification: Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities aligned with the company's strategic objectives. Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer assessments to identify potential pursuits.
    3. Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders within federal civilian agencies and the Department of Defense. Leverage existing networks and establish new connections to enhance the company's visibility and credibility.
    4. Proposal Management: Oversee the development and submission of high-quality, compliant proposals in response to solicitation requirements. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including business development, technical, and pricing, to ensure timely and thorough proposal submissions.
    5. Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with pursuing specific opportunities, including technical, financial, and competitive risks. Develop risk mitigation strategies to increase the probability of successful capture.
    6. Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to capture teams throughout the pursuit lifecycle. Foster a collaborative and results-driven environment that encourages innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement.
    7. Pipeline Management: Maintain an accurate and up-to-date opportunity pipeline, including tracking key milestones, status updates, and probability of win. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the status of active pursuits.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in capture management, business development, or related roles within the federal contracting industry.
    • Proven track record of capturing new business within federal civilian agencies and the Department of Defense.
    • In-depth knowledge of the federal procurement process, including FAR regulations and acquisition lifecycle.
    • Strong understanding of the mission, priorities, and challenges of federal civilian agencies and the Department of Defense.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and make data-driven decisions.
    • Active security clearance (desired).
    • Professional certifications such as APMP or Shipley (preferred).
