    IT Administrator - Columbus, United States - Caregiver

    IT Administrator Position Summary
    Coordinate with the Director of IT, the administration of the company's computer infrastructure including setup and installation of all computer equipment and systems. This position is also responsible for assisting with the maintenance and coordination of the information technology systems, to include the helpdesk, servers, computers, printers, networks, telephones, camera systems, integrated copiers, and provide technical advice and support to system users. Travel amounts of -% are associated with this position along with occasional overnight stays.

    Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Work with the Director of IT in developing and implementing the company's computer infrastructure to ensure service is continuous for company staff
  • Reviewing, analyzing and delivering data information to present regular reports to the Director of IT concerning compliance and overall performance of the service desk
  • Discovery and delivery of new service desk technology approaches and implementing next generation solutions to ensure customer service is always met
  • Provides telephone, in-person and online support to end-users.
  • Provides updates, status and completion information to manager and/or users, via voice mail, e-mail or in-person communication.
  • Identifies and procures the hardware and software needed to satisfy user requirements.
  • Connects users to networks and provides initial training in facilities and applications.
  • Refers major hardware problems to service personnel for correction.
  • Assists in research and procurement of computer accessories and supplies.
  • Managing the daily operation and changes to the Service Desk and its strategy
  • Conducting a continuous assessment of current service desk practices, systems, and identifying areas for improvement
  • Providing direction, monitoring performance, motivating staff, building a positive working environment, and partnering with the Information Security Officer to promote team performance
  • Assist with daily operations of IT, assist with Security operations, drive secondary departmental projects, and perform other duties as assigned
  • Education and/or Experience
  • High School graduate or equivalent required. An Associate or Bachelor's degree in information technology in computer science or related subject is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of previous IT work experience
  • Valid State Driver's License and a driving record/MVR that is insurable by company auto carrier's standards/requirements
  • Knowledge and/or Skills
  • Microsoft Server Operating Systems (All); Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (All); MAC OS; Office ; Azure;
  • Time management: ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a timely manner
  • Actively promotes and observes safety and security procedures, uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Solid people management skills – providing direction, monitoring performance, motivating staff and building a positive working environment
  • Customer service experience within a helpdesk environment and a strong customer relations attitude with the ability to receive customer feedback to improve service
  • Strong team player with ability to adapt to changes in a fast-moving work environment
  • Creative thinking – able to look at alternatives and consider new ways of thinking to problem solve
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – providing verbal and written communication that is outstanding to both direct reports and senior management as well as other stakeholders
