Nonprofit Development Director- HYBRID- San Jose - Next City
Description
Our client is a growing nonprofit in the Bay Area with a mission focused on the inclusion of children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
We are seeking a skilled Development Director to drive donor relations and fundraising efforts in their territory and, ultimately, drive revenue growth.
This role will focus on building relationships and partnerships to enhance donor relations.The selected candidate will receive stellar benefits such as generous PTO, holidays, and winter break, matched 403b contributions, 100% paid medical premiums for the employee, and a hybrid work schedule only requiring 1-2 days/week in the brand-new San Jose office.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain diverse revenue streams from corporate and community sources.
Collaborate within and outside the organization to create fundraising opportunities.
Expand corporate support for events with the Events Director.
Enhance engagement and giving levels of current partners.
Proactively identify and engage potential corporate and community donors.
Create compelling funding proposals showcasing offered programs.
Ensure thorough follow-up and stewardship with funders.
Assist in setting and monitoring annual goals for corporate and community giving.
Utilize Salesforce for donor relationship management.
Provide support for CEO and CDO with major donors.
Assist with special events and volunteer management.
Collaborate with various departments for innovative fundraising initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience.
Three or more years in non-profit fundraising or sales.
Proven success in fundraising or corporate sponsorship.
Knowledge of non-profit fundraising principles.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Excellent organization and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Suite.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Willingness to work flexible hours as needed for events.
