This is a Hybrid work environment with 3 days in office.

We are seeking a visionary and experienced IT Director of Cloud Engineering to lead our organization's cloud strategy and operations.

In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive cloud roadmap, overseeing the migration and management of our IT infrastructure to the cloud, and ensuring the security, scalability, and cost-effectiveness of our cloud environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and implement a strategic cloud roadmap aligned with business goals.
Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of cloud service providers (CSPs) and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Manage and optimize cloud resources to ensure costeffectiveness and scalability.
Develop and enforce cloud security policies and procedures.
Lead a team of cloud engineers and architects.
Monitor and maintain the health and performance of the cloud environment.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for cloud operations.
Partner with business stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure cloud solutions meet those needs.
Stay up to date on the latest cloud trends and technologies.
Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on cloud concepts and best practices.

Areas requiring a high-level of proficiency:

IaaS: Hypervisors (e.g., VMware, KVM), Virtual Machines (VMs), Containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), Bare Metal Servers, Infrastructure Automation (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)

Cloud Security: Data Encryption at rest and in transit, Threat Detection and Prevention, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Vulnerability Scanning and Patching, Cloud Workload Protection Platforms (CWPP)

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Proven experience (15+ years) in IT infrastructure and operations leadership role, with a strong focus on cloud computing.
Indepth knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices.
Experience with cloud service providers (CSPs) such as AWS, Azure, or GCP (familiarity with multiple providers is a plus).
Strong understanding of cloud cost management and optimization techniques.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to build strong relationships with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
