We are seeking a visionary and experienced IT Director of Cloud Engineering to lead our organization's cloud strategy and operations.

In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive cloud roadmap, overseeing the migration and management of our IT infrastructure to the cloud, and ensuring the security, scalability, and cost-effectiveness of our cloud environment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic cloud roadmap aligned with business goals.
  • Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of cloud service providers (CSPs) and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Manage and optimize cloud resources to ensure costeffectiveness and scalability.
  • Develop and enforce cloud security policies and procedures.
  • Lead a team of cloud engineers and architects.
  • Monitor and maintain the health and performance of the cloud environment.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for cloud operations.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure cloud solutions meet those needs.
  • Stay up to date on the latest cloud trends and technologies.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on cloud concepts and best practices.

  • IaaS: Hypervisors (e.g., VMware, KVM), Virtual Machines (VMs), Containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), Bare Metal Servers, Infrastructure Automation (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)

PaaS: Containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS), Low-code/No-code Development Platforms, Cloud IDEs, DevOps Tools

Cloud Security: Data Encryption at rest and in transit, Threat Detection and Prevention, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Vulnerability Scanning and Patching, Cloud Workload Protection Platforms (CWPP)


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience (15+ years) in IT infrastructure and operations leadership role, with a strong focus on cloud computing.
  • Indepth knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices.
  • Experience with cloud service providers (CSPs) such as AWS, Azure, or GCP (familiarity with multiple providers is a plus).
  • Strong understanding of cloud cost management and optimization techniques.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
