    Career Transitions is supporting a company committed to innovation and excellence in the design and manufacturing of cutting-edge products. They seek a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team.

    What you are doing as a Mechanical Design Engineer :
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and develop mechanical components and products with a focus on plastics.
    Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to determine the viability of new product concepts.
    Utilize engineering principles and design tools to create detailed product specifications and drawings.
    Provide technical support throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring designs meet performance, cost, and quality objectives.
    Evaluate and select appropriate materials, including plastics, based on their mechanical properties and suitability for the intended application.
    Work closely with manufacturing teams to oversee prototyping, testing, and validation processes.
    Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance and manufacturing efficiency.
    Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source and qualify materials, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

    What you need as a Mechanical Design Engineer :
    BSME is required.2+ years experience working in Design Engineering roles within manufacturing.
    Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CREO, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for designing and drafting.
    Strong knowledge of materials science, particularly in plastics selection and applications.
    Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
    Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical information.
