    Summary

    Lincoln Electric is in search of an Electrical Design Engineer for our headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio. The selected candidate will join our Commercial Power Sources Team to create and enhance new and existing products.     What You Will Do:

    • Contribute to research and development by designing, specifying, and documenting electrical components, assemblies, and complete arc welding/plasma cutting systems.
    • Engage in various activities such as circuit design, PCB layouts, and testing of electromagnetic devices.
    • Create test specifications for production purposes.
    • Analyze field failure specimens to identify root causes and implement corrective measures.
    • Lead and oversee testing of new designs, processes, warranty enhancements, and cost-saving initiatives.
    • Coordinate with technical support teams.
    • Design safe, high-quality, cost-efficient, ergonomic, and environmentally friendly parts and systems.
    • Participate in understanding customer needs and market requirements.
    • Provide support for sales, marketing, service, and customer inquiries.
    • Enhance legacy products and enhance their quality.
    • Generate value through supply chain initiatives and designs with common components.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve objectives.
    • Interact with stakeholders including suppliers, customers, and sales engineers.

    Education & Experience Required

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
    • 1-5+ years of experience in research or product development
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
    • Demonstrated knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures in a variety of assignments
    • Experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred
    • Practical hands-on capabilities
    • Salary and job level will be based on qualifications and experience
