    Position Overview

    Senior Accountants are a dynamic group of individuals that are capable of multi-tasking while successfully maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction to both external and internal customers.

    Senior Accountants will perform accounting functions as assigned including, but not limited to preparing journal entries and complex reconciliations for monthly general ledger close.

    Assist in the preparation and distribution of financial statements. Ensure that all deliverables comply with GAAP.

    Essential Senior Accountant Functions/Qualifications/Education:
    Strong analytical and accounting skills.
    Some mentoring and review experience.
    Previous public accounting experience is a big plus.
    Participate in month-end close activities including the preparation and review of journal
    Prepare and review complex monthly reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts
    Reconcile general ledgers, post journal entries, and assist with the preparation of financial statements
    Accruals, fixed-assets, revenue recognition
    Reconcile intercompany accounts and post eliminating journal entries
    Substantiate financial transactions by providing audit proof documents. Verify and analyze business records, transactions, and procedures
    Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliation for assigned general ledger accounts and balance sheets
    Prepare schedules for quarterly reviews and year-end audit for independent external auditors. Research issues, clarify information, and prepare supporting data
    Identify and create efficiencies in the month-end close cycle that lead to decreasing process closing time

    The flexibility, time management, and maturity to handle the ebb and flow of assignments is as important as the technical and analytical skills required to be successful in this position.

    Bachelor's Degree, Accounting or Finance.
    Must be flexible and adaptable to change.
    4-7 experience in the accounting with progressive growth.
    Previous experience working for large organization.
    Thorough understanding of GAAP.
    Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook
    Experienced working with/ manipulating large amounts in Excel
    Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.
    Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
