UP On the Roof takes pride in growing our team members with careful training and development so that their full potential can be reached.
POSITION SUMMARY:
To maximize the sales opportunity of the restaurant primarily through the banquet facilities.
A banquet is defined as any guest reservation that requires a private dining room, a pre-set menu and/or audiovisual equipment.
Requirements:
*Generate sales leads outside of the restaurant by using all forms of communication (Email, telephone, cold calls, mailings, attending fairs and conferences, etc.)
*Meet with guests to show facilities, develop menus and offer other services such as audio/visual, entertainment etc.
*Must have proven record of reliability and punctuality
*Must have excellent communication skills -verbal and written, and superior organizational ability
*Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office programs
*Prior sales experience required and proficiency in catering software (Delphi or other) preferred
*Ideal candidate will have demonstrated customer service and/or restaurant/hotel management experience
*Demonstrated experience in securing business relations with clients/guests and in developing
strategies that improve guest satisfaction and build client loyalty
*Must be appropriately dressed in business attire
*Must be able to work a flexible schedule and expect to work weekends, nights and holidays
*Must express maturity and social skills of a hospitality sales professional
