POSITION SUMMARY:
To maximize the sales opportunity of the restaurant primarily through the banquet facilities.
A banquet is defined as any guest reservation that requires a private dining room, a pre-set menu and/or audiovisual equipment.
Requirements:
*Generate sales leads outside of the restaurant by using all forms of communication (Email, telephone, cold calls, mailings, attending fairs and conferences, etc.)*Meet with guests to show facilities, develop menus and offer other services such as audio/visual, entertainment etc.*Must have proven record of reliability and punctuality*Must have excellent communication skills -verbal and written, and superior organizational ability*Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office programs*Prior sales experience required and proficiency in catering software (Delphi or other) preferred*Ideal candidate will have demonstrated customer service and/or restaurant/hotel management experience*Demonstrated experience in securing business relations with clients/guests and in developingstrategies that improve guest satisfaction and build client loyalty*Must be appropriately dressed in business attire *Must be able to work a flexible schedule and expect to work weekends, nights and holidays*Must express maturity and social skills of a hospitality sales professional
