    Job DescriptionTitle: Pharmaceutical Packaging Equipment EngineerHire Type: Long-term contract, OnsiteLocation: North Chicago, ILTarget Pay Range: $ $70.00/hour (W2 with full employee benefits)

    Job Summary:The Packaging Equipment Engineer is responsible for design, quality assurance, procurement, testing, and continous improvement projects involving pharmaceutical packaging equipment in a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
    Job Duties:
    • Design and execute packaging equipment projects, from front-end planning to implementation.
    • Develop innovative solutions for packaging lines, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance.
    • Hands-on troubleshooting and implementing equipment fixes to minimize downtime.
    • Coordinate bidding processes for equipment procurement, considering cost-effectiveness and quality.
    • Conduct debugging activities to ensure proper functioning and optimal performance of packaging equipment.
    • Coordinate and execute Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) to validate equipment performance.
    • Ensure packaging processes align with industry regulations, including GMP and FDA standards.
    • Regularly assess packaging processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
    • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall packaging efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Effectively communicate updates on packaging equipment status, improvements, and challenges to internal stakeholders.
    • Additional related duties.

    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, or a related field.
    • Must have 2+ years of prior experience in pharmaceutical packaging equipment design and project engineering.
    • Proficiency in CAD software for equipment design and modeling.
    • Strong knowledge of GMP, FDA regulations, and other relevant industry standards.
    • Proven ability to troubleshoot and implement equipment fixes effectively.
    • Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate between engineering, purchasing, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
    • Familiarity with a variety of packaging formats (cartons, cases, oral solid doses, capsules, bottles, granules, etc.).
