The district of Gießen is looking to fill a full-time position in the Department 41 - Construction as soon as possible for an Engineer (m/f/d) specializing in technical building equipment (heating, ventilation, plumbing). The position is permanent.

The district of Gießen is responsible for 53 schools with approximately 280 buildings and outdoor areas as part of its responsibilities as a school authority. These properties need to be redesigned, modernized, or renovated in accordance with school development. This also includes new school buildings and sports halls.

The Department 41 - Construction is responsible for the conception, planning, and execution of new school buildings, additional buildings, sports halls, and comprehensive renovation measures. The department is made up of architects, engineers, and technical engineers who work in teams to manage individual projects. The implementation of these measures usually takes place in close cooperation with the Department of Schools and Sports as well as external architecture and planning offices.

For the area of technical building equipment (HLS), which presents new challenges to our team due to increased construction volume, technical progress, and modern pedagogy, we are looking for a dedicated engineer to work on district-owned properties such as schools and sports halls.
