What you will do:


Disassemble and evaluate incoming blower, compressors and other Aerzen products, diagnose and recommend action, complete machine repairs, prepare reports and communicate actions as needed.


  • Performs all work in accordance with quality standards and safety procedures and maintains a clean, safe work area.
  • Performs safe practices in utilizing hand tools, power tools, machine rigging, and shop equipment; Demonstrates and utilizes good mechanical skills, an understanding of rotating equipment and knowledge of proper and safe usage of mechanic's tools and shop equipment.
  • Disassembles, assesses damage, and evaluates failures on Positive Displacement blowers, High Vacuum blowers, Delta Hybrid Blowers and Compressors.
  • Provides recommendations on the actions and parts required to complete the reassembly of the machine.
  • Reads, understands and uses equipment diagrams, checklists, engineering drawings, and other process documentation to disassemble, and assemble 3 lobe PD blowers and vacuum blowers.
  • Prepares a written repair report to document cause of failure, description of work performed, materials consumed, condition of equipment as received and as returned to customer.
  • Diagnoses problems with Aerzen machines by evaluating material condition and asking the customer questions; demonstrates the ability to offer machinebased recommendations; can identify the root cause of a machine failure.
  • As required, perform equipment inspections, troubleshooting, repairs and/or PM service on customer equipment onsite; Represent Aerzen in professional and courteous manner following all Aerzen and customer safety requirements.
  • Participates in departmental initiatives such as inventory counts, shop organization and cleanup.

Requirements:


Education:

High School Diploma (GED) Required.


Experience:
5+ years of experience related to mechanical, rotating equipment and/or engineer repair.


Computer Skills:

MS Office skills required; Business Center/Navision management software skills preferred.


Functional Skills:


  • Ability to use regularly a forklift, ladder, hand/power tools, digital equip, welding equip., hydraulic equip., refurbishing equip., calibrating equip., measuring tools, and pallet jacks.
  • Ability to diagnose problems with Aerzen machines by evaluating material condition and asking the customer questions; demonstrates the ability to offer machinebased recommendations; can identify the root cause of a machine failure.
  • Ability to read, understand and use equipment diagrams, checklists, engineering drawings, and other process documentation to disassemble, and assemble 3 lobe PD blowers and vacuum blowers.
  • Welding
:

Previous welding experience to complete welding certificate (brazing, cutting, welding, plasma).
