Company Description
The Associate Director of Engineering is the technical leader for the site. They are responsible for all Engineering and Maintenance activities related to the facility and production equipment.

This includes managing the following areas:
1- Production Support
2- All facets of engineering (Mechanical, Process, Controls, Electrical, Automation)
3- Validation
4- Maintenance
5- Capital Planning and Spending
6- Technical support for new product launches


Responsibilities:


  • Financial responsibility for the Maintenance and Engineering Budgets ($5MM); financial responsibility for Capital Spending (~$5MM)
  • Partner with crossfunctional peers to ensure the success of the plant goals and objectives
  • Develop appropriate Engineering and Maintenance strategies aligned with the business
  • Assure his/her personnel and the personnel they serve work in a safe environment and with the proper safety tools and procedures
  • Maintain the proper compliance level in the job they perform
  • Assure the proper human resources, tools and equipment are in place to assure the expected service
  • Assure his/her personnel have the proper training and education to perform the required job and service.
  • Negotiate, secure, oversee & ensure that resources are available to meet the demands of the projects
  • Continually look for opportunities for process optimization, cost avoidance and cost reduction
  • All aspects of people leadership: setting expectations, coaching, counseling, developing, evaluating, feedback, hiring, discipline, and separations related to Engineering and Maintenance staff.

Qualifications

  • B.S in Engineering due to the technical nature of the position
  • 10+ years in engineering with exposure to equipment and facility planning, design, construction and operation in a manufacturing environment

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
  • We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off (vacation, holidays, sick), medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
  • This job is eligible to participate in our shortterm incentive programs.
