    About Us: We are a leading provider of midstream energy services with a diverse portfolio of offerings and a commitment to excellence. We are seeking a Senior Systems Planning Engineer to join our dynamic team. If you have a passion for hydraulic analysis and a desire to contribute to the energy industry, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

    Position Overview: As a Senior Systems Planning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in performing hydraulic analysis for liquid, gas, and supercritical fluid pipelines. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

    • Calculating liquid pipeline control pressures based on various factors such as elevation, pipe ratings, equipment ratings, and Transient Surge study results.
    • Assisting Commercial Management in making informed decisions.
    • Determining pipeline capacity, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing mitigation strategies.
    • Running "what if" operations scenarios, including equipment outages.
    • Analyzing abnormal operating conditions, ensuring compliance with DOT-PHMSA regulations.
    • Collaborating with various departments to analyze new projects, expansions, and changes in service.
    • Working closely with Operations and Pipeline Control to ensure safe and efficient operations.

    Qualifications:

    Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Petroleum Engineering.
    • Working knowledge of fluid properties and hydraulic theory.
    • 5+ years of experience in the energy business, specifically working with pipeline simulation.
    • Midstream oil and gas experience preferred.
    • Knowledge of at least one pipeline simulation software is required. Additional working knowledge of multiple simulation software packages is preferred.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to see tasks through to completion.
    • Proficiency with various software tools including Emerson - Energy Solutions PipelineStudio and PipelineOptimizer, DNV - Synergi Gas, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Earth.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Familiarity with additional simulation software such as Schlumberger - PIPESIM simulator and Kongsberg Gruppen - LedaFlow Software.
    • Experience with programming languages such as Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and Python.
    • Knowledge of big data tools such as TIBCO Spotfire.
    • Familiarity with NIST Refrprop and Microsoft SharePoint.
    • Willingness to travel occasionally, up to 10%.
