    This company specialized in Electric-Utility focused engineering and consulting. We are on the lookout for an innovative self-starter with a proven track record in system planning for electrical transmission lines. The ideal candidate brings over 5 years of successful experience in Electrical Engineering, specifically in transmission within the power industry.

    Key responsibilities for this role will include (but not limited to):

    • Evaluate existing transmission lines for conductor upgrades and communications cable additions.
    • Conduct Electric System Planning studies, Construction Work Plans, and Long-Range Plans based on transmission system analysis.
    • Utilize expertise in PSS/E, Aspen Oneliner, and PowerWorld.
    • Perform transmission connected generation studies in ERCOT.
    • Research and explore new technologies, methods, and equipment.
    • Ensure effective communication with Clients for assigned projects.
    • Review system data and supervise monthly updates of system load data by administrative staff.
    • Act as a representative in meetings with stakeholders, including property owners, engineering firms, or construction services.
    • Provide transmission project budget estimates as needed.
    • Estimate quantities and costs of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility.
    • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including calculations, telephone conversations, planning decisions, rationale, and filing copies of all pertinent information.

    Requirements and desired skillsets, experience, and qualifications:

    • 5-10 years' experience in Transmission for the Energy Industry. Strong written and verbal communication skills,
    • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
    • Professional Engineering License.
    • Expertise in PSS/E, Aspen Oneliner, or PowerWorld.
    • Exceptional computer skills, with emphasis in project management, spreadsheet and word processing applications.
    • Strong skills of time management, organizational and multi-tasking.
    • Possess strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills and able to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
