PeerSource is currently recruiting for a Network Systems Administrator on a Direct Hire basis for our client in Englewood, CO.

Summary

Our Oracle Partner client is seeking a Network Systems Administrator with strong expertise in Linux administration and network engineering. This role is crucial as it supports the backbone of Oracle-related services, ensuring secure and efficient system and network operations during critical client data migrations and day-to-day management.

Responsibilities

Administer and maintain Linux systems which form the core infrastructure for our services.
Develop and implement network security measures, including the configuration of firewalls and the restriction of subnets to specific locations.
Play a pivotal role in building and securing networks prior to and during migrations of client data to Oracle systems.
Balance between Linux system administration (70%) and network tasks (30%), with flexibility to focus fully on networking during critical periods.
Collaborate with other administrators and technical teams to enhance system and network security and efficiency.

Required Skills

Strong practical knowledge of Linux system administration.
Proficient in network administration and engineering, with a solid understanding of network security principles.
Experience in securing networks and managing enterprise-level Linux environments.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively, adapting to varying workloads with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
Strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of the foundational principles underlying system and network administration tasks.
Proactive, eager to take on new challenges and enhance personal and organizational capabilities.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Salary: $100,000-$130,000
