    Altruist is entering an exciting phase, and we're looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join our Engineering team.

    As a QA Automation Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing automated tests to validate the functionality of web applications, analyzing the functionality of the application, reviewing requirements, as well as creating test plans and detailed test cases.

    you'll work with developers and product managers to understand requirements and use cases. You also have programming skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability to wear multiple hats.

    role with on-site requirements of 2-3x per week in our Culver City office and we will not be considering remote candidates at this time.

    What you'll do

    Work on testing new product features and create automation scripts for our application

    Maintaining, supporting and extending our existing in-house automation framework and automation suite.

    Define test strategies, design test plan, execute test cases

    Collaborate with the rest of QA team, product team and development team

    Turning complex testing and tools into simple documentation or processes for others to use

    Make quality visible by capturing and reporting on metrics such as change failure rate, mean time to restore and lead time for changes

    Track issues and work with developers to identify root causes

    Collaborating with Software Engineering Leaders, Project Managers, Product Managers, and others to ensure smooth integration of Quality Engineering solutions into the SDLC (Agile)

    Actively participate in test planning discussions to assure automation coverage is continuously improving

    What you'll bring

    4+ years of experience on web testing

    Strong Background in Java

    Experience with Selenium and

    test framework development

    Ability to wear multiple hats to help us achieve our goals

    Understanding of software testing methodologies and test-driven development

    Understanding of databases, SQL, and application servers

    Strong verbal and written communication skills

    Have a deep understanding of agile testing principles

    True passion for trying to break software, find bugs, understand their root cause and how that forces it to adapt and become something new

    Experience working in a CI/CD environment

    Los Angeles, CA salary range $135,000—$170,000 USD
