    Join our dynamic team as a Business Development Manager who work out of our West Business Unit, located in Sacramento, CA. This role will focus on K12, City, County, and Special District markets in California. While this role can embrace the freedom of remote work, it comes with travel to various destinations. The Business Development Manager orchestrates captivating strategies to elevate brand visibility, from curating immersive experiences at industry conferences and tradeshows to strategic advertising initiatives. With a keen eye on market dynamics, they refine internal sales processes, develop strategic plans to boost win ratios, and showcase tangible ROI. Championing efficiency, they support regional business development initiatives and empower sales representatives for success.

    Target Salary: $125,000 - $150,000+ depending on experience

    Business Development Manager Responsibilities:
    • Develop and Monitor sales budget, conference/tradeshow budget, Entertainment Budget.
    • Craft strategic capture plans and KPIs to drive success.
    • Develop/Refine internal sales processes/best practices for improving efficiencies.
    • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate, business development events.
    • Demonstrate tangible ROI and efficiencies for Business Development endeavors, showcasing impact.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements, leveraging insights for strategic advantage. Increase company name and brand recognition in specific areas and markets.
    • Identify opportunities for speaking roles/recognition at conferences/tradeshows.
    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with potential and current clients.
    • Foster leads and connections to sales representatives.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners.
    • Pursue industry partners for teaming opportunities.
    • Communicate with key clients and stakeholders.
    • Engage existing clients for Letters of Recommendation.
    • Develop "Case Studies" for inclusion in proposals.
    • Implement or refine internal processes related to RFQ/RFP Proposals.
    • Orchestrate proposal development while collaborating with technical staff & sales representatives.
    • Refine internal processes for "Short Listings" or "Interviews," optimizing our chances of success.
    • Direct and lead proposal efforts from inception to completion.
    • Prioritize pursuits/target focuses and provides input to executive leadership.
    • Contribute to regional positioning for new target markets and emerging sub-markets.
    • Provide training to staff on business development related issues.
    Business Development Manager Qualifications:
    • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or related degree
    • 5 Years of experience in sales or business development
    • Related industry experience preferred
