    Position Overview:

    Our client is currently seeking a Tax Associate to join their dynamic team in New York. The Tax Associate will be an integral part of the firm's tax department, providing expert advice and assistance to clients on a wide range of tax matters. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified attorney with a strong background in tax law to further develop their career in a highly respected firm.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex tax issues, providing guidance and recommendations to clients.
    • Assist with the preparation and review of tax-related documents, including contracts, agreements, and tax returns.
    • Advise clients on tax planning strategies, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
    • Collaborate with other members of the tax department and legal team to provide comprehensive tax advice and support to clients.
    • Stay up-to-date on changes in tax legislation and regulations, advising clients on the potential impact on their business operations.
    • Assist with business development initiatives, including client presentations, seminars, and networking events.

    Qualifications:

    • Qualified lawyer admitted to the New York State Bar.
    • Strong academic background, with a degree in Law or a related field.
    • Previous experience in tax law, either within a law firm or corporate tax department.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax laws and regulations.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
    • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
