    Alliance Machine & Engraving, LLC is a division of The Bradbury Group specializing in engraving and embossing equipment located in Ashland, VA, just outside of Richmond.

    Summary:

    Alliance is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Manufacturing Purchasing Coordinator to join our team. Responsible for purchasing goods and supplies including determining requirements, working with vendors, and negotiating contracts. Ensure immediate corrective action is taken on defective goods. Review and approve prices and invoices. Research alternate sources of goods to ensure availability, quality, and competitive pricing. Must develop thorough knowledge of the products purchased and their application. Manage the inspection, shipping, handling, and packaging of supplies and equipment coming in and out of the facility.

    Regular Working Hours:

    7:00 am - 4:30 pm M-F

    Skills & Abilities Required/Preferred:

    • Strong mechanical aptitude
    • Negotiation and conflict resolution skills
    • Effective oral and written communication skills
    • Computer skills and experience with MS Office Software and Quickbooks
    • Ability to read schematics and blueprints, bills of materials, setup sheets, etc.
    • Communication between company departments
    • Shipping setup and documentation needed for both domestic and International shipments.

    Education/Training Required/Preferred:

    • Prefer bachelor's degree with emphasis in purchasing or business administration or 3 to 5 years of purchasing experience.
    • Experience in Shipping and Receiving of Manufacturing parts and products.
    • APICS certification is a plus.

    Other Requirements/Preferences:

    • Knowledge of industrial equipment and machinery.
    • Background in an engineering-to-order environment.
    • Proven Team Player
    • Strong negotiating skills
    • Impeccable attention to detail
    • Strong manufacturing background
    • Experience with manufacturing ERP and CRM software, i.e. QuickBooks, HubSpot, Wrike
