About the Role:


The Solar Equipment Manager is responsible for operating an efficient and effective operation through knowledge of equipment, costs controls, achievement of objectives and maintenance of all relevant equipment records.

The Solar Equipment Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing a team of onsite coordinators across multiple job sites.

This role involves monitoring equipment tracking, ensuring adherence to budget targets, maximizing equipment utilization, reporting on damages, and establishing and managing vendor relationships.

The Solar Equipment Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the successful operation of solar projects nationwide.

This role is
_remote and requires approximately 70-80%_ travel to various MYR Energy job sites across the country.

Essential Functions

  • Supervise and support a team of onsite coordinators in tracking and managing equipment across multiple job sites.
  • Monitor budget targets and oversee equipment utilization to ensure efficient and costeffective operation.
  • Report on any damages to equipment and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with equipment vendors, negotiate contracts, and establish nationwide rates.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and effective equipment procurement and delivery.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on equipment status, budget performance, and vendor management to senior management
  • Ensure OSHA standards and company safety policies are complied with at all times
  • Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Understand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industryspecific professional and ethical standards

About You:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field experience
  • Proven experience in equipment management, preferably in the solar industry
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Experience in negotiating and managing vendor relationships.
  • Knowledge of solar equipment and industry trends
