**Global Product Safety Manager**
**Location:** Dayton, New Jersey, US, 08810 ****Job Description****
Our products play a critical role helping mitigate our enterprise risk associated to safety of our products. This role ensures we have the adequate mitigating programs & systems in place in our IFF manufacturing sites (and our external partners: warehouse and distribution hubs) globally, and ensuring these sites are in compliance to established IFF standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory norms.
This role has a hybrid work schedule with two days on-site and three days remote. Travel to various IFF sites can be expected up to 25% of the time.
**You will spend your time**
Creating global policies related to product safety, preventive controls and risk mitigation programs. Providing direction, planning, and facilitating implementation of product safety, cGMP, hygiene, sanitary design, method validations, and sanitation programs. This includes managing the environmental pathogen monitoring and testing programs.
Conducting risk analysis of our manufacturing facilities, contract manufacturers, and warehouse and distribution. Auditing product and food safety practices, compliance to applicable regulatory norms, and evaluating risks and performance.
Overseeing vulnerability assessments and developing mitigations for the Product and Food Defense Program to ensure requirements are carried out in a timely, accurate manner to decrease the risk of Intentional Adulteration.
Providing feedback and guidance to other personnel in the site level as necessary to ensure compliance to global IFF standards and most current applicable regulatory requirements.
Developing site personnel on Quality and Product Safety competencies to enable them to drive towards zero major Quality, Product/Food Safety incidents.
Providing design, direction and conduct validation studies of the Product Safety programs and utilize the data to implement continuous improvement projects.
Participating in high-risk product safety investigations (i.e. quality/product safety failures, regulatory inspections, vendor related product safety incidents, etc) to help determine and properly address root causes, appropriate resolutions and preventive measures.
Assessing applicability to our business on any emerging trends or innovative solutions that will help improve our systems, tools and programs. Lead the realization (proof of concept) and demonstration of the new innovative solutions with the aim of verifying the concept has practical potential and value add.
****Job Requirements****
**Required Skills:**
Knowledge and experience in managing HACCP and preventative controls as it relates to FSMA
Knowledge of GFSI/Food Safety Systems
Experience with government regulatory agencies to include local, state, and federal agencies (i.e., FDA)
Microbiology
**Required Experience:**
Bachelors Degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related field. Masters Degree preferred.
10 years of related experience is required. Experience in the microbiology and/or food industry
Risk management Experience
HACCP Certification or ability to achieve certification
PCQI Certification or ability to achieve certification
