    Description

    Creedmoor Psychiatric Center (CPC); a NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH) facility, is hiring a Clinical Director, who will act as the Chief Medical Officer. The Clinical Director is in charge of overseeing the Psychiatry Residency Program and all psychiatric, medical, and contracted medical services provided:

    • Participation in executive management and strategic plan development
    • Oversight of credentialing and privileging
    • Development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures
    • Ensuring compliance with OMH, The Joint Commission (TJC), ACGME, and other external accrediting bodies' standards
    • Promotion of culturally competent, person-centered, and recovery-focused care

    The Clinical Director plays a vital role in aligning CPC's clinical mission with OMH's overarching goal of enhancing mental health and well-being for all New Yorkers.

    About CPC

    CPC, located in Queens Village, NY, offers a range of care to individuals from Queens through inpatient and outpatient services. With 312 inpatient beds, 170 outpatient residential beds, an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team, and various outpatient programs, CPC provides essential mental health services. CPC also supports an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accredited Psychiatric Residency Program in collaboration with Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.

    Minimum Qualifications

    1. License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State or equivalent
    2. Certification in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or equivalent
    3. Seven years of relevant experience, including supervision of clinical staff and program management
    4. Eligibility for participation in Medicaid and Medicare programs
