- Initiate projects with clients and internal teams (email, internal planning calls, client kick-off calls, etc.).
- Act as the primary point of contact for the client throughout the project lifecycle.
- Present templated project plans and standard processes effectively to clients and internal teams.
- Coordinate meetings and collaboration between TriMech technical teams members and clients.
- Help the project team to gather and document project requirements.
- Develop and update work breakdown structures and schedules with the assistance of the project team.
- Help to identify scope changes and initiate/manage formal change requests when required.
- Update, present, and circulate weekly status reports to clients and internal teams.
- Organize and lead recurring client and internal status calls.
- Conduct formal risk and issue management (RAID logs) and work with project team to develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and report on project Earned Value (% complete vs. % budget spent) compared to original estimates.
- Assist the Sales team in estimating potential projects (effort days/hours and calendar elapsed time).
- Support Sales with content and input on Proposals and Statements of Work.
- Assist with marketing of our team's Project Management services by contributing newsletter articles and/or webinars.
- Experience:
- 1-2 years of traditional / waterfall Project Management experience.
- Experience in managing enterprise software implementations (e.g. PLM, PDM, ERP, CRM or CPQ).
- Experience in a mechanical engineering and/or manufacturing operations environment.
- Understanding of both on-premise and cloud-based software deployments would be beneficial.
- Previous experience in Agile project management would be an asset
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role would be an asset (e.g. Customer Support, Sales, etc.).
- Education:
- Degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, related discipline, or equivalent job experience.
- Must have completed a Project Management fundamentals course (eLearning or instructor-led).
- Certificate in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, CAPM) is preferred.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong oral and written English communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized and possess strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Experience with MS Project or other Project Management software
