This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. Note: Permanent and time-limited NC State Government employees must separate from their permanent or time-limited position in order to work in a temporary position. All temporaries are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time.

This temporary position is located in Durham - Durham County.
This position also has Telework options.
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $28.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).

This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services. This position is located at 65 Moore Dr. Durham, NC

NC FAST Budget Analyst duties will include:

Preparing budget-related documents, spreadsheets, and deliverables as requested by NC FAST program management.
Monitor program budget and expenditures, and budget-related federal and state legislative reporting,
Post invoices to contract logs for Vendor and Software Integration Vendors' contracts received.
Review NCFS weekly and mark invoices paid as needed.
Record each invoice paid during the month by Vendor and account details.
Reconcile to NCFS each time the file is updated. Research and resolve discrepancies between contracts and financial system.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

Knowledge of governmental generally accepted accounting principles.
Demonstrated ability to apply federal and state laws related to finance.
Experience gathering, organizing, analyzing, and/or verifying financial information and other data.
Demonstrated experience reviewing, examining, and/or preparing documents.
Strong PC skills, particularly with Microsoft Office suite.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in business administration, public administration, accounting, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
