Financial Analyst - Hybrid Durham

Pay Rate $ /hr.

6+ month Assignment

R&D Financial Analyst is a business partner for our Research and Development (R&D) and Medical Affairs (MA) teams and supports the performance monitoring, project reporting, and budget and forecast processes.

• Create monthly dashboard reporting and analysis of expenditures, headcount, project expenses, and capital purchases for R&D and MA within assigned scope.
• Perform monthly variance analysis of budget too actual and too prior year.
• Support the annual R&D and MA budget process, budget preparation, analysis, and reporting.
• Collaborate with management to support consistent and accurate reporting for R&D and MA financials. Work with HR business partners to monitor the headcount and salary budget.
• Support the R&D team with preparation of project budgets, cost proposals, and forecasts for R&D related activities.
• Review and approve purchase orders and capital requests for adherence to budget.
• Perform month end closing tasks, including journal entries and reconciliations. Ensure that financial rules and procedures are followed by the business.
• Support analysis and reporting for R&D and MA scope and provide ad-hoc reporting to support management in decision-making.
• Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting or related field

At least 3+ years of experience in the Finance/Accounting field with experience or knowledge in financial planning and analysis

MS Excel and PowerPoint skills necessary

SAP knowledge preferred.
