Financial Analyst - Hybrid Durham

Pay Rate $ /hr.

6+ month Assignment

R&D Financial Analyst is a business partner for our Research and Development (R&D) and Medical Affairs (MA) teams and supports the performance monitoring, project reporting, and budget and forecast processes.

•Create monthly dashboard reporting and analysis of expenditures, headcount, project expenses, and capital purchases for R&D and MA within assigned scope.

•Perform monthly variance analysis of budget too actual and too prior year.

•Support the annual R&D and MA budget process, budget preparation, analysis, and reporting.

•Collaborate with management to support consistent and accurate reporting for R&D and MA financials. Work with HR business partners to monitor the headcount and salary budget.

•Support the R&D team with preparation of project budgets, cost proposals, and forecasts for R&D related activities.

•Review and approve purchase orders and capital requests for adherence to budget.

•Perform month end closing tasks, including journal entries and reconciliations. Ensure that financial rules and procedures are followed by the business.

•Support analysis and reporting for R&D and MA scope and provide ad-hoc reporting to support management in decision-making.

•Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting or related field

At least 3+ years of experience in the Finance/Accounting field with experience or knowledge in financial planning and analysis

MS Excel and PowerPoint skills necessary

SAP knowledge preferred.
