- Work as part of a global, cross-functional team to develop innovative software for Zinnia stakeholders.
- Contribute to projects by creating well-designed, customized, testable, efficient code for company platforms.
- Assist our teams in providing ongoing support, troubleshooting, improvements, or custom enhancements to existing company platforms.
- Occasionally participate in on-call rotations and/or provide after-hours support.
- Collaborate with our global teams, internal stakeholders and customers.
- Act as a subject matter expert for team members.
- Validate requirements and designs for custom built software projects.
- 6+ years of software development experience.
- Experience working on multiple Zinnia platforms or similar relevant industry experience.
- Experience acting as a project lead, technical lead, or people manager.
- Undergraduate degree in technology, business, finance, accounting or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Expertise and experience working in the insurance industry and company framework.
- Expert level ability to develop software in C#, DotNet Core, XML/XSL, or similar languages.
- Expert level knowledge of T-SQL, PL/SQL, and relational database concepts.
- Expert level experience with software engineering tools (Visual Studio, Eclipse, etc) and methodologies (Kanban, Scrum, etc).
- Expertise with Microsoft Windows, Office, IIS.
- Excellent work ethic. Ability to work and travel independently. Effective strategic thinking skills.
- Expert level communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills. Expert level troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to influence, lead, and work as part of a cross-functional, global team.

Technical Leads play a key role in the design, development/configuration, unit testing, installation, and ongoing maintenance of Zinnia software platforms.
Technical Leads work with stakeholders to develop solutions and/or products that fulfil the needs of Zinnia internal stakeholders and clients.
Those solutions and/or products help Zinnia and our clients to be more efficient and provide better service to end customers.
Technical Leads interact directly with project leaders, business stakeholders, and may periodically interact directly with Zinnia clients.Technical Leads will facilitate, lead, and enable more junior team members by acting as a mentor for soft skills and/or technical subject matter expert.

The salary range for this role is a good faith estimate, it is estimated based on what a successful candidate might be paid in certain Company locations.
The salary range for this position is $105,000. - $131,000.All offers presented to candidates are carefully reviewed to ensure fair, equitable pay by offering competitive salaries that align with the individual's skills, education, experience, training, and geographic location.
