    Description

    Overview:

    We have tremendous opportunities for Staff Accountants to play key roles within our Tax team. We have openings for candidates residing in and around Dallas, Texas. As a highly valued member of our Firm, you will work closely with the Tax team to provide timely, accurate, and reliable completion of client engagements.     Responsibilities:
    • Become familiar with the firms policies and procedures
    • Learn the rules, regulations, and code of professional conduct of the AICPA
    • Become familiar with pronouncements of the FASB, AICPA, GAO, and GASB
    • Assist in the preparation of tax returns
    • Demonstrate the ability to identify issues and apply accounting principles
    • Develop positive working relationships with clients
    • Develop an ability to effectively respond to questions from supervisors and clients and keep the team lead informed of engagement/project status
    • Effectively apply technology tools in assigned areas
    • Comply with firm practice management and quality control procedures and systems
    • Contribute to fostering an environment of team work, ethics, and Firm values
    Qualifications:

    Required

    • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting with 150 credit hours qualifying for CPA licensure
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Teams and Outlook
    • Ability and willingness to travel as needed

    Preferred

    • Involvement in professional and/or community organizations
    • CPA certification or progress towards completion

    Hours of Operation:

    • Our office hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
    • Our summer hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Friday
    • We pride ourselves on our flexibility; however, the ability to work additional hours will be needed at peak times
