A prominent player in the real estate sector with businesses focused on acquiring, developing, and overseeing industrial, multi-family, and healthcare properties. The company has experienced significant growth and expanded its portfolio to include non-real estate assets, such as healthcare firms and technology ventures alongside financial activities in public and private domains.

    Opportunity

    We are looking for a skilled Tax Senior to join our team in a key role overseeing the company's various divisions and asset portfolio. As the Tax Senior, you will play a crucial part in managing tax compliance and reporting for the businesses. This position involves collaborating with divisional accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely federal, state, and international tax reporting that aligns with current business objectives.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    The Tax Senior will have various responsibilities, including:

    • Handling annual investor reporting and tax filings for different businesses.
    • Preparing federal and state tax returns for select company entities.
    • Ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all areas of tax reporting.
    • Working with accounting teams on financial data collection for tax purposes.
    • Managing cash-related tax matters in coordination with the accounting team.
    • Assisting in tax basis financial statement reporting for filed returns.
    • Managing tax authority communications and compliance.
    • Staying updated on federal and state tax laws and regulations.

    Other Responsibilities:

    • Supporting legal entity management and regulatory compliance.
    • Collaborating on special tax projects with the Tax Director and Tax Manager.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
    • 3 to 4 years of tax experience with a focus on partnership tax.
    • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
    • Detail-oriented, proactive, and responsible.
    • Ability to handle shifting priorities and deadlines effectively.
    • Keen on learning new concepts and mastering complex tax principles.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
    • Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently or in a team.

    Preferred:

    • Experience in private equity and alternative funds.
    • CPA qualification or progress towards achieving it.
    • Familiarity with complex partnership concepts and allocations.
