- Provides direct supervision to clinical staff as assigned, as well as master level staff working toward advanced licensing, in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Assists Clinical/ Associate Director Clinical Director in ensuring that all licensing and agency standards are being met in the area of Clinical/mental health services.

- Models a multidisciplinary team approach to participant care.
- Participates with clinical intern selection, including interviewing, screening for appropriate placement, and the designation of appropriate intern supervisors within Youth and Residential Services programs.
- Provides support to Program Director, Management and Staff.
- Creates, monitors, and implements group and other psycho-educational or therapeutic curricula in program.
- Coordinates and leads the clinical group supervision/consultation meetings as assigned.
- Manages and participates in all project meetings and maintains the minutes of meetings on a rotating basis.
- Addresses complaints and resolves problems for both employees and program participants.
- In addition to performing the above-mentioned job duties, the Clinical Supervisor will also be required to perform various coordinating and training duties. These include but are not limited to such things as preparing and monitoring staffing assignments, training employees how to perform certain job duties and suggesting how employees can improve their job performance.
- Provides direction, training, and oversight of all therapeutic services provided by the assigned programs, including areas such as departmental meetings and clinical staff and intern selection, interviewing, screening, supervisor assignments, onboarding, and transitions.
- Ensures staff is allocated to programs and schedules that ensure 7-day-a-week coverages at programs.
- Provides training to clinical staff (clinical as well as job-related practical), addresses complaints, and resolves problems for both employees and program participants.
- Adheres to professional standards as outlined by governmental bodies, American Psychological Association (APA), the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), the Illinois Alcohol and Addictions Certification Board (IAACB), and private funding sources.
- Provides direct Clinical Services as needed to address crises, model/train, or ensure successful operations of the department and program.
- Supports provision of psychiatric services to minors in care.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensures program quality related to clinical operations across Safety Initiatives, including the development and review of outcome measures.
- Ensures department-wide timely and quality completion of all participant records.
- Ensure staff completion of quality documentation related to clinical services.
- Monitors quality implementation of group and other psycho-educational curricula and other therapeutic curricula as appropriate to the therapeutic needs of each program sub-population.
- Mental Health Clinical Practitioner, Clinical Interns.
- Master's degree in social work (MSW) or MA in Clinical or Counseling fields and above.
- Minimum two (2) years of clinical experience.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Clinical Psychologist Degree and license required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, Outlook/Exchange; Windows operating systems; and other software routinely used by Heartland Alliance.
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables and situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Excellent communication skills. Strong networker, convener, relationship builder, and communicator with experience collaborating with diverse work teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information possessing skills to handle situations professionally and diplomatically.
- A high degree of collaboration and emotional intelligence, self-motivation, and analytical ability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, Outlook/Exchange; Windows operating systems; and other software routinely used by Heartland Alliance.
- Ability to work independently and remain self-motivated with minimal direct supervision.

- The employee may be required to remain on Organization premises during breaks and/or meal periods.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Each program site operates on a 24/7 basis, 365 days per year. To meet both the needs of our participants and contractual obligations, employees are required to be flexible regarding scheduling and work location.
- Program sites are located throughout the Chicago area, including the North and South sides of Chicago, as well as the suburbs. Employees may be required to report to any one of our locations on a temporary or permanent basis.

Summary:
Are you ready to lead with passion and purpose? Join us at Safety Initiatives as a Clinical Supervisor and be at the forefront of delivering high-quality clinical services. Working under the guidance of the Managing Director of Supportive Services, you will collaborate with the Director and Associate Director of Clinical Services to establish policies and procedures that meet the unique needs of our community.
As a Clinical Supervisor, you will be a key leader in our Clinical Department, using your industry knowledge and best practices to advance the mission and vision of Heartland Human Care Services. You'll play a vital role in shaping our culture and ensuring compliance with funder and licensing requirements.
This role is an opportunity to make a real impact, working closely with internal and external partners to provide comprehensive clinical support to our participants. You'll work collaboratively across teams to implement organizational priorities and drive positive change.

Bilingual language skills preferred. Fluency in English and either Spanish or another language. Work Arrangement: This role is not eligible for remote work. All hours will be worked in person. This position has an active presence at all assigned programs on a rotating basis.
